Open role
Head Coach
The person who builds the academy
The mission
Pad Thai Padel Academy exists to produce the best version of every member — from first-day beginners to professional athletes — each reaching their personal peak alongside a healthy lifestyle. Where lifestyle and performance meet. This is not a job where success is measured in how many balls you feed. A Head Coach who fills their own calendar and nothing else has missed the point. Your job is to build an academy: a system, a team, and a culture that makes players better whether you're on their court or not — and to be the aspirational figure in the community that players want to learn from and compete for.
The method — coach understanding, not shots
- Deliver and protect the Pad Thai Padel Academy Method at your club: padel taught as a strategic, tactical team sport — the why and the how, mindset included — not a list of strokes to fix.
- Same rigor at every level. A Rookie group gets the same preparation, standards and attention to detail as a Gold group. Never underestimate anyone by their level.
- Plan session structures, progressions and drill libraries for your club, and contribute to the academy methodology — what works on your courts becomes part of the method.
- Build it with the other Head Coaches. Our Head Coaches across Bangkok, Phuket and Bali work as one leadership group with the Head of Academy — sharing sessions, reviewing each other's work and challenging each other — to build the best methodology and coaching service in Asia, so a player gets the same academy in every club.
- Feedback is recorded, not remembered: regular written feedback and video analysis so every player can see their strengths, their gaps and their plan.
- Every package delivers 100% of what it promises — development plans, video analysis, follow-ups. If it's in the package, it happens.
The player journey — from Rookie to Elite
- Own placement: every new player enters through an assessment and lands in the right level group on our ladder — Rookie, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite.
- Move players up deliberately: place a growing player in a group above their level to pull them forward, and make the level-up a moment they celebrate.
- Build the full path — group sessions for the base, private lessons for technical polish, then matches and competition, the truest form of development.
- Push players to compete and help them find the right partners. The academy should fill the draw at every Pad Thai Padel Championship event.
- Commitment first: protect the rhythm of regular training — it beats any single brilliant session.
The coaching team — we coach as one team
- Lead, mentor and develop the coaches at your club. Assign the groups: coaches on Rookie to Bronze, senior coaches and head coaches on Silver to Gold+.
- Build the learning loop: coaches join your higher-level sessions to learn, senior coaches support newer coaches' sessions — nobody coaches alone.
- Hire with the Head of Academy when the academy grows — at ~80% coaching utilisation, the next coach is a plan, not a panic.
- Run regular session reviews and observation, and give your coaches the same honest, recorded feedback we give players.
- Set the standard for professionalism: club uniform, well-groomed, on time, good posture on court and in rest areas, no smoking or drinking in front of members during work hours, and every member addressed with respect.
The academy is a business — own the numbers
- Own your club's academy revenue, active members, retention and coaching utilisation — and review them weekly with the Head of Academy and Club Manager.
- Grow the funnel with the Community and Guest Services teams: intro clinics → open groups → academy memberships → private lessons → competition.
- Run the schedule like an operator: academy groups always run, open groups are confirmed 12 hours ahead, court time is never wasted.
- Turn players who leave into data: know why every member churns and fix the cause, not the symptom.
The face of the academy
- Be the reference point in the community — the coach players talk about, follow, and want to train with.
- Show up: Pad Thai Padel Championship events, community nights, sponsor activations and media moments, as often as possible.
- Help create content with the Brand team — drills, tips, player stories — that shows what training here actually looks like.
- Keep a positive atmosphere on every court you walk past. The energy of the academy is set by the person who leads it.
Who you are
- A certified, experienced padel coach (5+ years) with a strong competitive background — you've played at a high level and you understand the modern professional game.
- You've led coaches before, or you're ready to: you want to build something bigger than your own calendar.
- You explain the why. Players leave your sessions understanding the game better, not just tired.
- A collaborator, not a lone star — you want to learn from other top coaches as much as you want to teach, and you share what works.
- Organized and data-comfortable — you can run a schedule, track player progress in our system and read your academy's numbers.
- Fluent English; Spanish is a big plus for our coaching team, and some Thai or Bahasa Indonesia goes a long way with members.
- Ready to relocate and commit — we sponsor visas and work permits for the right person.
How we'll measure success
- Academy revenue vs. plan, and active academy members month over month.
- Retention — members still training 3, 6 and 12 months after joining.
- Player progression — share of members moving up a level each quarter, with feedback and video logged.
- Package delivery — 100% of promised development plans, video analysis and follow-ups delivered.
- Coaching utilisation and quality — courts full, sessions reviewed, coaches improving and staying.
- Competition — academy players entered in every Pad Thai Padel Championship event, and results.
What we offer
- A very competitive fixed salary — not dependent on your coaching hours, because this role is about leadership.
- A monthly academy revenue bonus that grows with the academy you build.
- Stock options in Pad Thai Padel — you own a piece of what you build — plus a competition incentive and support to keep playing at a high level.
- Visa and work permit sponsored, relocation support, paid time off and pro shop commission.
- A real path: Pad Thai Padel is growing from 8 to ~20 courts across Bangkok, Phuket and Bali — our Head Coaches are the future leaders of the academy across Asia.
